END OF SILENCE is a 52-minute documentary whose main theme centers on illegal abortion in Brazil, which has been made a crime in 1940. Breaking the taboo for the first time ever, women say to the camera how and why they had abortions. They are women from various occupations, ages and social classes, from Brazil Northeast and Southeast, who remarkably talk about what happens when you are faced with an unwanted pregnancy and opt for abortion.
